Bethany Edwards, Director of Spark
Bethany's journey into sports ministry began in Dallas, Texas, where she worked with a soccer program focused on refugee outreach. A graduate of Covenant College with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a minor in Community Development, Bethany has been passionate about soccer since the age of five. She is deeply inspired by how sports can forge connections and unite communities.
Eric Ramirez, Forge Program Supervisor
Eric grew up in East Ridge and has been a familiar face at Highland Park Commons since its opening. With over five years of coaching experience, Eric began his coaching journey with Operation Get Active and has since contributed to programs like Spark, Summer Camp, and Forge. He has a deep love for the game of soccer and is passionate about the relationships it fosters across different cultures and backgrounds.
Jose Ramirez, Director of Forge
Jose has been a dedicated member of CSM for over eight years. In 2015, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in International Studies, focusing on Latin American Culture and Spanish, from UTC. As a U.S. Soccer C License coach, Jose is committed to fostering vibrant and healthy communities by building intentional relationships through the beautiful game of soccer.
Katelyn Newsome, Director of Operations
Katelyn Newsome joined CSM in 2014, bringing a unique perspective from her upbringing in Nagoya, Japan. A graduate of Covenant College, Katelyn deeply believes in the power of play as a foundation for meaningful connections. She is passionate about creating spaces where people feel the freedom to be themselves.
Coaches
Our coaches are trained in Whole Life coaching to help address the physical, emotional and spiritual needs in their players, aiding in their development and preparedness for adulthood.
Volunteers
Volunteers assist with coaching, game day operations and our Adopt-a-Team initiative.
